A festival of traditional and modern Asian culture including fashion shows, music and community events, outdoor  attractions, live music, performing arts, food and non-food stalls and lots more.

Manchester Mega Mela
This year’s mela will have even more to offer with a new showcase stage, an arts and crafts marquee, and street theatre as well as a star studded main stage.
Highlights include

  • Award winning Bhangra band DCS, Juggy D, Qawaali star Rafaqat Ali Khan, and Rishi Rich on the main stage
  • Street theatre and music including a performance of ‘In the Dholdrums’ presented by the Walk the Plank - a spectacular of dhol drumming and pyrotechnics.
  • A new Showcase stage area funded by Arts Council and AGMA, featuring performers from all over the North West ranging from bhangra and Bollywood to hip hop and R'n'B.
  • Arts and Crafts marquee - hands-on activities for both children and adults including rangoli and henna
  • Indian sports such as Kabbaddi and stone lifting
  • A huge selection of food stalls serving up a mouth-watering range of authentic Indian food.
  • Mela funfair
