The Dartford Indoor Mela which takes place at the Mick Jagger Centre between 1pm and 5pm promises to be the best to date, with an exciting range of culturally diverse artists performing at the free community event. The Mela which is organised by the North West Kent Racial Equality Council in partnership with Four by Four Bhangra Youth Club and is supported by Dartford Borough Council and the Arts Council celebrates the diversity of Dartford through music, food and dance.
Gurvinder Sandher the Assistant Director of North West Kent Racial Equality Council commented “I am pleased that we are able to again put on the Dartford Indoor Mela. The Mela is now is now recognised as one of the best culturally diverse arts events in Kent. This year we have performances ranging from Calypso to Bollywood, from Irish dance to African drumming, from Hip Hop to Bhangra. These are a wide range of styles of music and dance which will hopefully appeal to everyone who attends the event”
