On behalf of the European Mela Network (EMN), its members and associates, welcome to our website. The EMN is currently going through some strategic changes and is looking for new skilled membership so that we may further support the development of Melas across mainland UK and Europe. We work with festival directors, local government, academics, artists, arts organisations, governmental policy makers and funders, with the aim to bring Mela to the mainstream.'

European Mela Network

European Mela Network supports the development of Melas across Europe.

Main activities are:

  • Acting as an advocate for Melas in Europe
  • Providing opportunities for training and professional development for Mela organisers
  • Sharing resources and expertise
  • Acting as a hub for information
  • Provision of a web site
  • Providing networking opportunities for members

Find out more about how we work with our members here.

There are more than eighty melas across Europe, probably over 100.

This website provides information on melas and their activities.
